ECOVACS DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI

Overview

The DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI mops with an OZMO ROLLER, a roller mop that keeps washing itself while it cleans. Fresh water flows into the roller as dirty water is drawn off, so the mop doesn't wait 10 to 20 minutes for a trip back to the dock before it's clean again. ECOVACS pairs it with 18,000Pa suction and ZeroTangle 2.0 for pet hair.

On carpet the roller lifts 10 mm to keep fibers dry, and both the roller mop and the side brush extend toward walls, corners and tight gaps. Navigation runs on embedded LiDAR, which keeps the body low-profile so it reaches under more low furniture, and AIVI 3D 3.0 handles everyday obstacles. AI Instant Re-Mop and smart dirt detection send the robot back over dirtier patches.

The 12-in-1 OMNI station handles the routine work: it refills the robot with water, washes the roller in 167°F hot water, dries it with hot air, empties the dustbin, doses cleaning solution and cleans itself. You can run everything from the ECOVACS HOME app, by voice with YIKO-GPT, Alexa or Google Assistant, or through Matter-compatible smart-home systems.

ECOVACS rates it for hardwood, tile and carpet, with up to 200 minutes of battery life and a noise level of 60 dB.

Key features

Embedded LiDAR for a slimmer body, plus AIVI 3D 3.0 obstacle avoidance.
AI Instant Re-Mop and dirt detection give dirtier areas extra passes.

App, YIKO-GPT, Alexa, Google Assistant and Matter control.
Up to 200 minutes of battery life; 60 dB rated noise.

Pros

The mop stays fresh through a long run instead of spreading dirt between dock washes.
One station covers refilling, mop washing, drying, emptying and solution dosing.
Matter support makes it easier to fit into an existing smart-home setup.

Cons

18,000Pa is the lowest suction among the newer roller models here.
The 10 mm carpet lift is lower than the 15 mm lift on the T90 PRO OMNI, so thicker rugs are better marked as no-mop zones.
The roller and mop come as one piece, so a worn mop means replacing the whole roller.

Who it fits

Homes with mostly hard floors and a few low rugs, owners who want a self-washing roller mop without paying for the newest suction figures, and smart-home users who want Matter alongside app and voice control.

Questions

Does it mop as well as vacuum?

Yes. The DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI is a robot vacuum and mop, so it handles both jobs in one machine.

How strong is the suction?

ECOVACS gives the DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI 18,000Pa of suction. Higher Pa figures generally mean more pull on carpet and debris; compare it with other models in the DEEBOT range table.

Which series is it part of?

It belongs to the DEEBOT X series. See the other models in the series on the robot vacuums page.
